Taking care of my skin is something that I have been doing more actively for the past few years. Now that I am in my mid thirties I’ve started to notice that my skin is not as taut as it used to be and not as moisturised as before. There is the need to maintain the condition of my skin and slow down it’s aging.
I have been looking around at the different ranges of Natural skincare available in the market and was introduced to Skylake. Skylake is from Korea and their products are made from Natural materials which are free from preservatives.
Skylake products are made from 18 types of oriental herbs and contains 100% natural ingredients with no chemical preservatives.
Made in Korea by a ISO 9001 certified green company this skincare range is supposedly to be able to boost skin elasticity, minimizes pores, whitens as well as balances and refines skin condition.
As I was most interested in skin care products for the body and face I tried out their BB cream and their skin lotion from this range.
Skylake SPF 36++ Natural Multi Blemish Balm (BB) comes in an 50g pump tube (Retail Price: $38). The cream discharged from the tube feels a little thick upon application. It took me quite awhile to blend it into my skin however it evened out quiet easily without caking. You can see my face looking more radiant after applying the BB cream.
There is any fragrance to the product so one need not worry about the smell being too overpowering. The cream only comes in one shade and is suitable for all skin types. I didn’t have any adverse reaction to it since I started using the product about a month back.
The only issue that I have is that it did make my face look rather white and I feel that it would be more suitable for someone with fairer skin.
SPF 36 PF BB Cream ($38) , Body Lotion ($25)
The Skylake Oriental Body Lotion comes in a 300 ml bottle (Retail price at $25). Made of oriental herb extract, rice fermented filtrate and unrefined natural vegetable oils, the white lotion feels creamy and a little sticky upon application.
The herbal smell can be a bit overpowering at the first pump and it does take some time to get accustomed to it. After having applied the cream after bath for the past three week I noticed my skin feel very supple and moisturized as compared to before. Using the product does make a difference for me.
